Arctic tundra comprises about 25 million square kilometres but Alpine comprises 9.5 square kilometres.
Alpine tundra soils are drier but Arctic tundra ar not dry during the growing season.
The diffrence between alpine and arctic is that the arctic is covered with snow and little animals and alpine is not covered with snow and has hundreds of species of animals .
