The differences between the Arctic and Alpine Tundra



The differences between the two are :


Alpine biomes are found in the mountain regions all around the world while Arctic biomes are found almost entirely in the Northern Hemisphere. In Alpine Tundra,the summer average temperature ranges from 10 to15 celcius while in Arctic Tundra,it ranges from 3 to 12 celcius. In Alpine Tundra,in the winter,temperature are below freezing while in Arctic Tundra,the average temperature in winter are -28 celcius to -70 celcius. In Alpine Tundra, there are only about 200 species of Alpine plants while in Arctic Tundra,there are about 1700 species of Arctic plants. Arctic Tundra is always cold while Alpine Tundra is warmer.
